Embracing My Journey: A Tale of Resilience and Heritage

Born in America and adopted at birth, I grew up feeling like an outsider in my own family. My biological Nigerian mother died during childbirth, and my father, overwhelmed by loss, chose to leave me in America, believing it was best. Raised in a home lacking stability, I found solace in helping others, eventually adopting children of my own.

Now, at 36, I’m embracing my Nigerian roots while reconciling my American upbringing. Through my husband and friends, I’m reconnecting with my heritage, learning to balance two worlds, and redefining who I am.
